When I wanted to create this piece, I had a question in mind. In my search for an answer, I drew on potential answers, mythological sources, and common narratives of heaven. My question was, "What would the architectural structure of heaven be like?" I constantly envisioned scenes blended from Ancient Greek architecture, contrasting the Gothic architectural design approach that had been in use for a long time, starting in the 12th century. I believed that marble should be the most popular and elegant elements in these architectural structures. I thought it should convey a sense of elegance, majesty, and humility. Thus, this piece was born. Enjoy the work, and please feel free to share your thoughts.
How sacred is this path, radiating light; it purifies us, elevates us, transforms us, and rewards us. How magnificent are the colossal columns with shining bodies that hold the heavens in place. The paths we walk gleam with light beneath our feet. The path to truth can only be like this, humble, peaceful, pure and magnificent.
